Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) leaked specs point to minor upgrade over previous model

Samsung's mid-range Galaxy On series is available for purchase in just about every region in the world. Even in North America, you can find the Samsung Galaxy On7 up for purchase on Amazon or at T-Mobile (as Galaxy J7 Prime).

The same will probably apply to the upcoming Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) model, which hasn't been made official yet. The smartphone has been recently spotted at GFXBench where it's listed along with some of its specs.

Based on the information provided by the benchmarks' database, it's clear that the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) is just a small upgrade over the previous Galaxy On7 Prime, also known as Galaxy J7 Prime in some markets.

Apparently, the smartphone comes with the same 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution and octa-core Exynos 7870 processor. Even the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera has remained the same, along with the amount of memory: 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.

However, the new Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) features a slightly better 13-megapixel selfie camera, whereas the previous model features an 8-megapixel secondary camera in the front.

Last but not least, the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) will ship with Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box. Although the previous model was launched with Marshmallow on board, Samsung promised a Nougat update will be released at some point.
