Such a minor update. What happened to the time when the Note series got actual upgrades over the S series like better CPU or improved displays ? Just wait for next years S10 guys, 7nm CPU and indisplay Fingerprint reader.

I don't know why people say the Note 9 is such a minor upgrade. There's a TON of features they added to the Note 9, but people are looking past it because it has a similar body to the Note 8.

It’s actually a big upgrade all the way around, it jus looks similar. Much bigger than the iPhone 8 Plus is to the 7 Plus, and the 8 Plus is regarded as the best iPhone ever.

it would be nice if all the trolls on this site would actually understand like you do... the only thing i would have liked more would have been DDR5 ram... but i guess i'll wait... i got bumped to the Plus editions when the damn note 7 caught fire and i want to get back to the notes!

Notes are just better do it all phones to me. I love my X, but it just can’t stack up to a Note.

I love my 8 Plus. It's an amazing phone for work, but for my personal needs, I use the HTC U12+, then the LG V20 for travel.

Understood. I’m like you, iOS and android guy, but not a fanboy of either.

Saying Note 9 is a "big upgrade" is a stretch. It's an incremental update at best: slightly better soc, slightly better camera and a function that gives the pen a tiny reason to exist; that's about all.

Im not sure why everyone was expecting a huge change in design language... this has been around since the S8 and it works.... no notch or moving mechanism... people expect android to change because of the many different players in it, but seem to be ok with apple rehashing the same phone design for 4 years...

I'm not replacing my Galaxy S6 until it ceases to function, so naturally, a phone at this price and with this incremental an upgrade is out of the question. Will probably switch to iPhone when the time comes, just to try something different and more polished.

You don't have to go for Apple these days to have a "smooth" phone. In fact since the S6 came out, you can argue that Apple has actually took a few steps back as far as "polish" with more frequent stutters, lags, and glitches. I applaud you for keeping your device for this long, but your opinion on the matter of overall "speed" in regards to the Note 8 and Note 9 holds little weight. Though incremental in comparison to each other, they run circles around any 2015 flagships such as yours.

I don't know about s6, but I know that s7e is no slouch when compared to s9; sure, the newest device is faster but the differences in average everyday usage are minimal.

you'll find out how polished it is once you use it for a month or 2... there is a reason why people still switch you know...
