0. phoneArena posted on 12 Aug 2017, 19:19

If you've seen the benchmark scores for the Exynos-based Galaxy Note 8, then it's time to compare them to those of the Qualcomm-powered model, which have just been spotted at Geekbench...

speaking of u11, is there in any way to remove the 4K video recording limit?

Alternative room maybe...

S8 and OP5 have this limit too. While XZ Premium can record until it runs out of battery or memory.

I own a 6S+ (64GB) and am wowed it doesn't have a limit, only thing tho is there was one time the phone restarted randomly but I speculate it was due to overheating or because the phone had 'only' 12GB remaining when the incident happened.

When the 7S+ comes out and doesn't record in mono audio anymore, I sure will get it and I'll get the 256GB

I wonder why they are not going with the newer SD 836 which is going in the Pixel 2's.

No, I think he means Note 8 will obviously provide premium user experience than Htc u11.

The A11 is going to crush those scores. Qualcomm needs to do much better. This is their field and they're letting Apple walk all over them. Such a shame!

Yeah, but it's gonna crush the iPhone in features, versatility, real life battery usage, and overall capability. The iPhone will benchmark faster...yep. What does that mean? It means it'll open some apps, and most games a second faster on Phonebuffs speed test video.

I'll use my S-Pen to make a Gif of his speed test for you.

Yeah...That's such a shame.

I doubt that. The iPhone is already a great device and owned by millions. All the stuff you list are subjective but scores in benchmarks are facts and usually translate to real difference in user experience.

Benchmarks are for bragging rights only. Features, and how they're put to use are facts. I've owned all the top iPhones, and the Notes wiped the floor with them in all the areas that mattered, but yeah it opened some apps faster.

Try that benchmark crap on a blind fanboy, that only uses iPhones. I real tech fan, that uses multiple platforms, will see right they that bragging right crap.

This is simply your opinion. I find the iPhone features more coherent and not just crammed with features that aren’t well thought of.

Because Apple force was well though out?

It's doing nothing the S4 was doing without it.

Benchmarks mean nothing because, no 2 devices will ever have the exact same apps installed.

Install all your apps make all your settings and then bench and see how low tbey fall.

Record me 11 min of 4k on your brand new S8 and we'll talk more after you do that.

Use the front and rear camera on the iPhone at the same time. We'll talk more after you do that.

The S8 Plus records 4K in 5 minute increments, but it does record 4K. The iPhone can't use both front and rear cams simultaneously. In other words, the S8 does both, the iPhone does not. Try harder.

I wasn't talking to you, but is OK.
Who the f**k cares about using both cameras at the same time?!
Give me an usage scenario where one needs to do that s**t.

Dude, I don't care if the phone can make chop suey unless that helps me do things with my smartphone.
Where can I use simultaneously filming?

The same can be said in other way as well. Who does care about lengthy 4K videos? I thought Apple Fans didn't want anything more than 1080p as they claimed naked eyes can't differentiate difference beyond that.

Typed from my 7 Plus.

99% of smartphone users are using their cameras to film; the majority of them (me included) are filming just a few seconds and use a single camera.
Me - and the vast majority of smartphone users (both ios and Android) - live very well with 5 min 4k videos and single camera.
There's a context where I put my message, I didn't said iPhone rules because of this feature.

1080p would actually be overkill on a 12 cm display looked at from 30 cm (and the best proof is the fact that the HD display of iPhone is better than 2k display of s7 in any technical tests), but on a 1.5 meter TV, looked at from 3-4 meters, things are different.

I use the front and rear camera simultaneously to snap a photo of a group of people and include myself in it. Same goes for videos: recording a funny moment of my pets with the rear camera and at the same time include my emotion (laughter, smile, etc) in the same video using the front camera.

But hey, "My phone can't do it, so I don't need it!" right?

I don't get it... shouldn't you like, set a timer and be a part of the group photo inside the group?!

But, hey, if that's ok with you...
Oh, tell me now how do you record your pet for 11 min in 4k?
