0. phoneArena posted on 27 Feb 2012, 01:00

One of the most interesting devices announced by Samsung at this year's MWC 2012 is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. So, what's common between the original Note (5.3) and this new Note 10.1? Well, basically, we can say that the Note 10.1 is the tablet version of the Note 5.3 phone...

It's only using exynos 4210 over clock to 1.4Ghz.
Exynos 4212 clock @ 1.5Ghz.

Low end cpu. Go to hell samsung.

Well...if you dont like...dont buy it...why such an anger for samsung? Even 4212 is not going to bring anything better except 32nm fabrication over existing 45nm...only 5x series will be based on A15...thats something to wait for.

Do you seriously think that they will launch a flagship without even a keynote and a big media event??

Simple fact -- how many companies are fighting for front page coverage now? I saw HTC, Sony, LG, Nokia, Huawei and many more. Why would you think they would launch their flagships in such a crowded environment?? Let the rumble settle down, wait for 1-2 months and then reveal your products. What best then to wait for iPad3, then launch next-gen Tab line and showing how it's better than the iPad. When they are gunning for Apple, it makes no sense for their products to be in direct comparison with HTC/LG/Sony/Huawei etc., It won't give them that mileage in media they need to fight Apple.

When did the most powerful dual core on the market, the 4210 become "low end".
Granted I'd rather see the 4212 at minimum in it as well, but its no where near crap with a 4210 inside of it.

Notice the part where its for "business professionals and art students".. it didnt say anything about "crazed gamers and spec hunters".

it's kind of like what Motorola did with the Xyboard 10.1 and it will also be it's main competition.

If a company like Samsung who specializes in screen clarity did not release a tab sequel with a full hd screen this time, does this make you think that they don't see the higher screen a priority?

when are you guys going to realise that samsung is holding on to the real show just to match apple when they realise the ipad3 and iphone 5? that is why they are showing less impressive devices.the real market and mind blowing devices are coming mark it somewhere.

yup. samsung wouldnt be holding its own show if it was showing its big guns at MWC. Its going to be showing off the 4xxx quadcore and hopefully the 5xxx quadcore at its own show.

Talk about Completely Underwhelming! I expected a much higher resolution screen and LTE, and frankly quad core would be nice. Agree with posters why out both the galaxy 2 and note?
Should have made the G2 at least a major upgrade. Even if some of you are right and Sammy is just waiting till the Ipud 3 to show it up that means in 3 months they release another set of tabs then? Seems like a financial stretch and Huge way to alienate the business segment they are after with the note.
Major Disappointment Sammy!!!!!

We shouldve known that they were going to make the tablet version of the Galaxy Note (which is a phone that I will get in the near future lol). I am suprised that they didnt make it available for LTE which does lose some of it charm!! I think that its a good sell and I would get it. if its going to AT&T, it might follow the same path as PanTech did when it offer both its LTE tablet and phone for $250....it would be more expensive though

no surprise here.anyone expecting samsung to show there best at mwc need to remember they are holding there own event and my guess is they will release there top of the line tablet with ''retina'' display along with the galaxy s3...samsung did the right thing by holding off the announcement of the top tier devices as with so many devices being announced in mwc companies are having to share the spotlight where as when samsung announce the s3 all the spotlight will be on them which will create massive hype not that it isnt probably the most eagerly awaited android phone already.if samsung release the s3 within a month of announcement and in europe and us at the same time then they will sell A LOT.

Yeah... The whole news that Samsung is aiming for a simultaneous global launch with the GS3 has made me hold off on my Tmobile GS2 purchase. I was thinking if the GS3 launches in October like the GS2 did that at least gives me 8 months of enjoyment before jealousy sets in. But now it sounds like I'd get 2 months of bliss... I'll wait on my purchase.

this is what i have been wondering as well.. i need tablet to replace my notebook for lectures, as i can then write notes more easily, but so far, the only tablet that offers a specialised stylus is this.. i don't need pressure sensitive yet (maybe in the future), i just need something that i can use to write some notes on word files or pdf, and the apps to do that.. seems that only Samsung has that specific app right now..

A vey big dislike from my oppinion is that they didn't make a slot in the tablet for the S-pen like his brother Samsung Galaxy Note -----> You can see the S-pen in the phones right corner ----->I717http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_i717-pictures-4374.php

I didn't heard anyone saying that Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 har one spot for the S-pen so A VERY BIG DISAPOIMENTMENT...

If you know otherwise just give me a link with the proff on the email adress s3bastian.arbok@gmail.com

Arbok - As of 05-29-12 what will and what will not be in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Note is all still in flux. Even phonearena.com is reporting what is rumored to be in the device because Samsung is still sorting out the details. One thing is for sure, the device will be different that what was shown at the 2012 MWC back in February. They may be making a run to smash the IPAD third gen device as they should be. A high res screen and quad-core processor are being talked about.

It will have an onboard slot for the S-pen.

like the interactive stylus. Does it have a dock/keyboard set up and can you get new, improved stylus for Note 1717-5.3"?

When Galaxy Note 5.3 has ICS 4.0 and Note 10.1 should tether up well together. Specs show the 10.1 works on 1800 GHz band so it will work on 4G in Australia.
