Samsung Galaxy A60 to arrive in April with punch-hole display: rumor
The Samsung Galaxy A8s

Earlier this week, a report revealed that Samsung had a whopping nine Galaxy A-series smartphones in development at the moment. So far, references to just four of these have been spotted. But now one reliable tipster has shed some light on a potential fifth model.

Referred to as the Galaxy A60, the new device will presumably slot in above the upcoming Galaxy A50 and below the slightly more premium Galaxy A70. Unsurprisingly, no details about the smartphone’s internals were provided. However, the device’s positioning does point towards the presence of Samsung’s Exynos 9610. This would put the smartphone more or less on par with Snapdragon 660-powered devices such as the Galaxy A9 (2018) and the Nokia 7 Plus.

Externally, this smartphone is described as a Galaxy A8s “Lite.” This indicates that Samsung will be making further use of its Infinity-O displays on cheaper models such as this one. On a related note, tipster Ice Universe revealed that new Galaxy A-series devices are being developed by Samsung’s Chinese design team exclusive. Because of this, more rear designs like the one debuted on the Galaxy A7 (2018) are to be expected.

Currently, how Samsung will choose to price this mid-range offering remains a complete mystery. However, the source in question did reveal that an April release date is being targeted at the moment.
