This is the kind of behavior that keeps me away from apple's products.

Sheesh. Its despicable. I can't wait until Google acquires Motorola and turns the tables on apple.

I can see it now, "googlerola sues apple for infringing on the patent for transmitting data via a cellular radio." I can't wait.

Actually I think your not that far off the mark...one of the patents is so vague... as to seem to apply to any handheld computing radio type device.

I like the title of the post..... 'galaxy nexus is not apple proof'....... Hahahaha...... Now every manufacturer will have to think out of box to make new phones, and like ipv6 certified water and shock proof mobile, they would also need to get aip5(apple iphone5) certification..... This certification will prove that the mobile is not a copy of apple in way, and they can't be sued by Apple........ :)

Apple loves suing so much, tat in future they will become full time attorneys and will stop making and devices......... Minimum qualification to become apple employee will be graduation in law......... And every apple employee should be ready to take the role of attorneys, to fight the lawsuits filed even in African Forests, against all the rivers and snakes for moving so smoothly, and against all the animals for being so innovative......... :) :)

OK the way I look at it is. The US government is crooked. That's known. Apple will lose most if not all patents in court against Android in the US. Not because Apple are full of themselves and 90+% of the patents cases are BS. No they will lose because Android just signed contracts with the DOD and US Military. The US gov has invested interest in Google/Android. As other governments follow suit their lawsuits will be a thing of the past worldwide. With that said even without the invested interest angle. How many of these lawsuits will Apple lose before they just give it up. Come one Apple just because Android is a superior OS doesn't mean you have to pull out BS lawsuits. "Apple: if can't beat em, well sue em" Not only that I've read here and other places that Apple customers themselves say they will no longer buy Apple products. Yeah I know Apple just had their best sales number ever, but that is mostly over charging on cheap hardware at premium price.

Why so those fools can give out all the wrong info. Like they did with the UFC. "Don't mess with us Dana White. We'll put all your info online" Oh yeah, but the morons gave out the wrong info. Some poor lady got her house broken into and a gun pulled on her, because some crazy fan thought she was Dana White. Yeah let's get the morons at Anonymous to start hacking Apple. From what I understand that liitle kid got caught for that (the UFC hacking). There are more Anonymous members though. The funny thing it would be supper easy from them to do. Everyone knows Apple has the worst security (pwn2own), and it would probably be super easy to do. Unless Apple's own security is not ran on Apple products. Which would be even funnier.

the funniest and MOST ridiculous one is the slide to unlock patent as there is prior art to just that...you just need to check YouTube...I swear the US patent has to be the stupidest business/people etc if they award patents to things that already exist...it seems like its about who's got the more money...as for the other patents well phones before the iPhone did most of them....its reasons like this and many others I despise apple and stay away fom apple products...I know lawsuits have always existed it but it wasn't this ridiculous until apple became big headed.. don't even think Microsoft were this bad when they were at the top.

This is hilarious IMO... Apple is suing everyone over patents that are COMMON SENSE. Unlock screens, computer-generated data performing system operations (hence an Operating System), user-interface for retrieving data, etc. All forms of technology perform the latter 2, while all phones MUST have a way to protect their owners' identities. Why do courts even bother with this bull? And how does this bull PASS?!

If Apple isn't completely dominant in an area, they'll try to force you out of business with bs patents based on common sense... I can see the older Galaxy lawsuits, as the Galaxy branded phones had a strong resemblance to the iPhone at first glance but had different builds. I just don't see the purpose of trying to monopolize the mobile world.

ok, for the record I am an apple fanboy and i'm sick of all the lawsuits just as much as everbody else....but i'm curious as to how Apple got away with the "Notification Center" in iOS 5 and not get sued.

Because Android is supposed to be an Open source project, which I think means you can take elements of it and put it somewhere else, like Bada OS has adapted the pull down notification system too. But I really feel they should limit who gets to use it, not let your competitors steal it...This also why Google hasn't sued Apple over anything yet, it's mostly done by Android OEMs.

Anyway, I'm not too worried thou, iOS's notifications still sucks, you still can't tell when you get an email because it isn't shown on the status bar, and the notification pull down is usually clustered with useless crap like stock and advertistments from apps and foursquare crap...

The next thing to happen is that Apple would patent the Notification system and the stupid dumb US Patents office would accept it. And Apple would sue every other manufacturer.

LOL, i doubt, they forever working. I'm sure every lawyer has every single fone from the competitors and checking out, and comparing who got more to sue for.
