No, with minor updates like these, they roll out pretty much when the public learns about them. Just like the article says.

I have not noticed any difference. They need to send an update that fixes battery life and fixes the bug of the Music Player randomly closing.

I really dislike my samsung fascinate. i would not recommend it to anyone. I have trouble receiving calls and it seems to have gotten worse ever since i downloaded the latest update. It also takes random screen shots. I also have trouble making calls. I am not happy.

I got the update, and kind of regretted it becsuse it completely changed all my widgets on my screens...mine also keeps taking random screen shots when I hit the power button sometimes and it won't black out the screen for a little bit.

My battery dies so much faster now. I can go all day without using my phone and still have to charge it.

I liked the updates at first. But now my phone dies in about 4hours, it keeps taking random screen shots when I hit the power button sometimes and it won't black out the screen. It moves really slow when playing the games and locks up all time when texting. I liked it better without the updates:(

I love my samsung fasinate, but after the update, I have had lots of little problems. My battery dies much quicker....my screen blacks out when I'm on a call and will not come back....it no longer works with the bluetooth in my car. I don't know what it was supposed to fix, but it's caused me problems.

I hate this update. I loved my phone at first, now with the update its terrible. The battery dies in a few hours with no use, where it used to take all day to die with constant use. It takes random screen shots like everyone else said, and the screen freezes all the time. Plus it randomly closes programs that I am using. Overall I hate the update.

Downloaded the newest software update, what a nightmare my phone turned into. A few days after the update my phone decided it didn't want to have service no matter where I was and my battery goes dead in a few hours. I can't even use my phone! Took the battery out and managed temporarily got me barely a signal. It's like not having a phone at all. Before the update the phone would freeze now and then but other than that I loved it. Now I HATE HATE HATE IT!!!! Verizon what are you thinking???????

Since the upgrade, the battery needs charging twice a day, with minimal use. One could argue the reason for battery DRAIN is that the device is constantly launching apps that I'm not using - namely news apps, verizon navigator, etc. This did NOT happen before the mid-June release. Seems like a simple fix...? Thx.

OMGOSH, Never had a problem before the downgrade, it definitely was not an upgrade. My phone is continually force closing, never experienced that before. Will not stay connected to bluetooth in my car, messaging- takes forever for letters to populate in screen. It is ridiculous! I have had to take my battery out several times just to get my phone to reset so I cld turn it on. I am taking it to the store where I bought it in hopes of getting some help. If not, I am going IPHONE. I am not happy

I LOVED the phone when I first got it in the beginning of December 2010. Since December, I have had to do not one, but TWO factory resets due to various issues. The problems I keep having with the phone now are: 1.) Incoming texts from other Verizon users shows the check mark as if I received it, when in fact I never did (so I don't receive incoming text messages), 2.) The phone rings for the person placing the call, but does not ring for me. I only know I missed a call if the caller leaves a voicemail, 3.) The web browser constantly shutting down or not being available, 4.) applications always forcing close, 5.) failure to get a signal in the places where I always received them. Oftentimes, I cant make calls for extended periods of time. Verizon is replacing the phone....let's see what happens now!!
