Samsung Develops World's first 'Motion-Recognition' Phone

Samsung Electronics unveils the world's first mobile phone with 3D movement recognition – SCH-S310. The new device has built-in 'accelerometer' which accurately calculates and ascertains movement in three dimensional space thus allowing users to dial phone numbers by writing the numbers into the air instead of pressing buttons. SCH-S310 also enables users to delete text messages, control games and basic navigation features  by shaking it up and down. Other main features of the phone are:

  • 1.3-megapixel camera
  • Digital music player
  • GPS
  • Mobile banking
