Powered by mediatek. "the phone gets priced "just right" " sounds like it will be priced around $300. Cheap phone can be priced expensively as long as there's a samsung logo on it, and fanboys in the developing country who can't afford to buy the S4 will buy this.
WVGA on a 5" screen? ouch, it hurts my eyes.
Moto G FTW! Galaxy Grand WTF!?

This is not for you !
this is for developing countries like india!
Nexus 5 = Rs.30,000 ( 16gb )
but this will not more than Rs.18,500 as the orginal grand is only Rs.16,000 now !

This phone is intended for Asian and European, not American markets. In general phones cost more in Europe and Asia. I like the Galaxy Grand 2, but I don't find any purpose of this one unless they went down to a 4.5 inch screen.

If I remember right Samsung launched Galaxy Grand as trimmed down version of Note series with big screen to bring experience of big screens to mass, at affordable price, but now again this light version Galaxy grand. If they price Galaxy Grand 2 nicely then they will not need this light version, otherwise in future we will see lighter version of Galaxy grand light..........

Just needless, still scratching my head to see if a reason will pop out.
