yea, they THREATENED at the MS-Foxconn factory.. then were arrested for an undiscloed amount of time and blacklisted from that area for good.

However, at the iPad Apple-foxconn factory, they didnt threaten, they had 17 suicides in 1 year which is why they have anti-suicide jumper nets up.

you know that yet your are dense enough and uncaring enough to pretend it doesnt exist. you are a sad sad waist of breath.

Well, since you care so much why not get rid of all of your products that were created at Foxconn. If your disdain is so high, trash them all. Show us how much you care bro.

Again, please tell me what products I own that were created at those foxconn factories? We've had this conversation a dozen times. WHAT do I own that I need to get rid of?
My PC was made in india, my phone was made by samsung, my TV's were made in japan.
The ONLY thing that I can trace back to foxconn is my Xbox360 and i bought those years before learning of foxconn. What exactly would throwing them away now help? hmm?
What about you. put your money where your mouth is.

You trolls talk a big game, but when asked the big questions, ya cant answer.. or ya do like taco, and just dissapear from the thread and pretend it never happened.

Far from a troll bro and Im not going anywhere. Since we are so self-righteous all of the sudden, where are your clothes and shoes from? I bet the conditions of where those garments are made are the most upstanding. I just thought that since you didn't want to associate with any company that does business with Foxconn that you write off Samsung since they have dealings. Im just trying to read you and I think your caring attitude is not what it seems and that this is more about Apple than anything else but I could be wrong. If I am, my bad.

been down this road, and you are wrong. My beef is with foxconn and yes with apple. One thing foxconn says, which has proven to ring true, is that their partners like MS and Apple set the major tones for each factory, thus each factory is run differently. Of those factories, even foxconn has said that Apple's are the most harsh of conditions.
I put MS through the blogging ringer for what happened at the Xbox factory. I dont hold punches for anyone. None of them pay me a dime.

Since learning of foxconn's atrocities I have gone out of my way to learn where my products come from and do my best not to buy any new foxconn made items. Can anyone criticizing me say the same thing??? i doubt it. You ask me where my stuff comes from, and i can easily rattle off the answer since i took the time to look it all up by model numbers.. in fact I just did. Can any of you that criticize me do the same?? no, you cant.

Samsung's high end products are all made in house. High end TVs and phones are all made at samsung plants, away from foxconn. Samsung workers get 2-10x what foxconn workers get, with vacations and benefits.. something you will likely never see at foxconn. It may not be american standards of work, but its sure a hell of a lot better.

people's apathy is not my problem. but that apathy creates a huge problem to the poor souls that have to live in those conditions daily. that apathy is what allows it to continue.

I do my little part. I keep awareness up and boycott foxconn the best i can. If everyone shared that little part, things would change. Its not self- righteous. Its taking a stand against something I find appalling, and know i can do something about if i can get others to join.

If apple wants to charge 5000 per iphone, thats on them. Im a free market guy. As long as tools like Taco continue to buy it, the model will be in place. The part where I take issue with apple is on their huge list of human rights violations and their smug attitudes about it. The exact same issues I take with foxconn and many other companies.

And to answer your clothes question. Tell me where I can find clothing that is more ethically made. There are clear choices in the tech industry. Is there clear choices in the textile industry?

Ok cool. Im just saying, if I was going to be serious, the fact that Samsung has any dealings with Foxconn would have me write them off completely. They are continuing the same trend by contracting services with Foxconn so I see them just as guilty as Apple. Good that Samsung has other factories and jobs in Korea that pay more. Apple has over 10000 employees here in the states that make a lot more doing work at their corporate office, server farms, and retail outlets. Im just saying that Samsung and the others need to be thrown under the bus as well and not just Apple. Also, I will apologize for my comment questioning your motives but at the same time, if we are going to go after Apple, lets go after all of them. I dont care where their high end products are made. If they are enriching the so-called slave labor masters, then they should be chastized the same.
