This is so misguided .. The shipments are UP 30 PERCENT year on year!

The quarterly drop was to be expected because of post holiday season.

Now now, it's an Alan article, if Apple sales declined then the whole industry is collapsing. Doesn't matter if everyone else sold well and people might be switching away from Apple, it's because the whole sector is collapsing.

-iPad generated 4x mobile web traffic than all Android tablets combined.

-iPad has 95% share of education market

-98% customer satisfaction rate among iPad owners, 2/3 of people planning to buy a tablet in next 90 days plan to buy iPad

SINCE this is the case, then Android tablets must really be suffering as a whole

...I don't get how you drew the final conclusion of your piece with the pointless information you threw out at the start. Android tablets aren't even suffering apparently (unless you didn't read the article) since they increased their overall shipping numbers vs the iPad which declined heavily from the same quarter last year. SINCE that is the case, I'm pretty sure Android tablets must not really be suffering as a whole.

That's 101% true. They should fire the guy who's writing this flawed article and you must to join Phone Arena in place of him.

And tablets are on a longer ownership/buying cycle than phones.
