Report: OnePlus 6 to arrive in March with its fingerprint reader embedded under the display

The OnePlus 5T was released in November, and already there is talk about the OnePlus 6. A report published today out of China suggests that the next new build of the phone will be unveiled in the middle of March of next year, with a release at the end of the month. It's not like you have to upgrade to every one they throw out...got the OnePlus One back in 2014, and had no compelling reason to upgrade to any of their later devices nor any competitor device, until the Note 8, which was a miles more useful upgrade. OnePlus One still working great as a backup...

if you buy the newest phone, say 5T in December. and then march you already not on the latest flagship, it's not a good feeling. 1 year cycle is fast enough already.

Yeah, I know that feeling. I experienced it when the Surface Pro 2 was announced less than a year after the original Surface Pro being available for purcahse. In such case, if you purchased it this month, it's probably not too late to return it. But then they'll probably release another device in a short term, so, just get what you like and stick with it...unless the newer device offers a lot more of what you want, no need to upgrade. In the case of the Surface Pro 2, it offered specs that literally outmatched my Laptop in everyway, whereas the original was a compromise on RAM and built-in storage, that's what made me upgrade to the 512GB SSD 8GB RAM Surface Pro 2. But ever since then, future Surface Pros haven't been compelling enough for me to upgrade. No significant added uses...

Qhd is useless on a phone.

Lets supposed the screen gets damaged, phone falls on the ground or burn-in shows up. Can the screen been changed without changing the FPS?

i don’t know what the fuss is about to get it under the screen. Rear fingerprint scanners are awesome.

When done right, they're ok. Samsung has absolutely not done them right. But don't is stil better.

I truly don't understand why such a feature is so important for you guys. I have been using Pixel phones since Note 7 disaster and it is nothing wrong with fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone. It is convenient and my finger falls on it automatically when I grab the phone. I don't believe that an embedded fingerprint scanner in the screen would make such phones better than the others. Don't get me wrong. I am not against new technologies, but smarter features are more important than a hardware, that doesn't do more than the current devices.

I don't understand why you complain for even more convenient fingerprint placement.

Place it on the table without lifting the phone to unlock it, then you'll understand.

They just released 5T, and now they are going to release 6???? How can I feel confident when I purchase from this company in the future?
