Razer Phone is here with 5.7" 120Hz Ultramotion display, 8 GB of RAM, and it's insane!

Razer, a leading gaming tech company, is ready to enter the busy smartphone marketplace with a product of its own. Its debut handset is called Razer Phone, and it is not your average smartphone. In typical Razer fashion, it promises a true spectacle.

Seems like a really interesting phone and it's good to see more qualitative competition in teh smartphone market...WELCOME RAZER!

Looks like a promising phone. Can't wait for PA to get their hands on it. I want to mess with it as well but it's probably too big to be my next phone.

£699 wasn't expecting that Ok price. Let's see how phone good is in life.

That’s a lot of money for an all plastic device. Watch JerryRigEverythinf snap it in half in a few weeks when he gets his hands on one.

Phone has metal housing to start with. Honestly it looks a lot less of the Essential phone flop. Full of great ingredients and offers a lot more than many other flagships. Let's just wait for reviews.

I'd rather have plastic then fragile aluminum and glass.

To each their own, but, I can't see myself spending $700 on a first-gen product.

Technically this is a next-gen Nextbit Robin, rather than an entirely first generation product.

Huh....so that's why I was getting serious Nextbit Robin vibes from this phone's overall aesthetic. I didn't realize Razer had bought Nextbit.

Awesome. It's gonna push other companies to innovate more. P.S. - first smartphone to feature Qualcomm's QuickCharge 4.0+ tech is Nubia Z17

Fancy specs and pretty good price coming from Razer, but frankly, the hardware looks so underwhelming and generic, unlike their other hardware.

What is underwhelming about the hardware?

I'm guessing he means the exterior package. It does look like a blown up Robin if we're being completely honest.

The hardware packaging is merely a rectangular slab with their logo on the back. Doesn't look premium nor unique, unlike their PC hardware design...

Oh the design, I see.

I just want 2018 Xperias to be designed liked this but with 18:9 aspect ratio, a little less upper and lower bezels and yes with headphone jack. Seriously guys I am tired of seeing every phones design to be same pebble like. Let's have more boxy design.

8 gbs of RAM and 64 gbs of storage plus the 120 hz display this is a dream phone for gamers!

Shouldn't gamers play games on big screen devices? I would not even start a game unless I had at least a 19" display...

I would have to say, this is by far the best looking and high spec Android phone I have seen. tempted to have this as my secondary phone next to my iPhone X.

Pretty impressed actually. Excellent screen, vivid colors, can't even tell apart from an OLED panel. LOUD speakers. BIG battery. 8GB ram is a welcome addition. Runs on Nova launcher in default thus must be very very smooth. All this for $699! WOW!!! That's pretty impressive. Take notes Google.

it can't have an oled screen because OLEDS doesn't support 120hz refresh rates. This is as good as it gets right now tbh..

Dude. This is the TV i bought last Christmas https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/4k-suhd-tvs/65-class-ks8500-8-series-curved-4k-suhd-tv-2016-model-un65ks8500fxza/ I want you to read the full specs and see why you are a complete dummy. You're now at zero credibility level. I hate calling names. But this is just unavoidable. Who topd you OLED displays cant reach 120hz? My TV is 240hz and its OLED. Thanks to Samsung 4k is at 240hz. Thats why i laughed when you all got excited Apple put 120 hz on the iPad. I though Apple fans are so educated and smart. Dont post anymore...EVER!!!!

- That monitor in your link use quantum dot screen (or QLED) it different in OLED, LG still lead in OLED TV category - And as I remember 240Hz in TV work differently compared to phone screen and PC monitor. TV use internal interpolation to crank up FPS (by displaying cloned frame or generated in-between frame), that because TV can only accept 24Hz, 30Hz, and 60Hz input.

Its use quantum dot over led vs organic over LED. Yes its a newer tech. It is the next evolution of LED tvs. Still jas thr same principle There are oled panels with 120 and 240 hertz. No matter the input. His claim was oled displays cant run at 120hz and its a lie. Because they hit 240hz. Also web content rareky is more than 30fps. Same as mkst movies and most mobile games are less than 20fps. A 120hz is just a drain. I dont want speed of refresh just to make things that are slow appear faster. A turtle is slow. Putting a slower animal nextbto it in a race doesnt make the turtle faster. Iys dtill goimg at thr same speed. Its just appears faster because the other a imal.is slower. This is exactky what hz does to refresh rates. Its all hype. I like 120hz and yes i want phones to have them. Once all ganes on phomes run at a full 60fps. Once all movies play at 60fps. Until.then its just a waste of battery.
