Remember Windows Mobile? In its best days, the platform had a 12% hold of the market, and according to some analysts it outsold Windows Phone during a good part of 2011…

I also wanted to update my omnia 2(windows mobile 6.5) to windows phone 7/7.5 but I know that this is not possible:( My marketplace is not working anymore but if you want to find some apps or games for your device, you can always search the web for a cab file with an app that you want and just copy it from your pc to your phone.

i hope MS wont do the same with the current WP7, it did even breathe life into the former OS which was more like android just needed better specs and redesign UI

why would they do that? this marketplace is just fine.
as for why the stock wp7 (not mango) devices are/will not (be) allowed to access the marketplace anymore is simply a reason of closing the gap, and not letting fragmentation come in the picture.
