RIM's new TiVo app for BlackBerry is interesting because it allows you to remotely do almost anything from the handset. You can see your programming guide, schedule the taping of your shows. It does almost everything except allow you to watch what you have recorded over the handset. The app doesn't even take advantage of any BlackBerry specific function which is surprising considering that the Canadian manufacturer took a year to put this together. Sure, it might be useful if you're at the office and it just occurred to you that you forgot to set the TiVo to record Hells Kitchen. But wouldn't it be better to see Chef Ramsay chew out some poor sap of a cook through a streaming video on your 'Berry?
