and torch even made of plastic too and the price tag somehow was UNBELIEVABLE unbalanced. we got more for only IDR 6.000.000 than to PAID FOR IDR 5.000.000. The DIFFERENCE of price tag JUST IDR 1.000.000 but THE DIFFERENCE OF THE SPECS AND FUN(C)TIONALITY WAS JUST LIKE HEAVEN AND EARTH!!!

You know which is heaven and which one is down to earth.

What an insult to compare Bold 9930 to the GS3.

When your preferred phone (9930) is so hopelessly outclassed by another (GS III), all you can do is resort to insults.

Putting lipstick on a pig doesn't change the fact that it is still a pig.

yeah right, Bold 9900 is very famous for its crappy battery (impossible to multitask for long time), possibility for it suddenly bricked are high, super slow web browser, some social apps/IM aren't available yet for that platform.
but if you mean elite = only use it to bbm and e-mail, you can build your own elite group consist of 10 members or less, because no others would join...

Bold 9900/9930 has some pretty significant problems with the OS:

-Phones are still bricking up after 2 (or is it 3) updates.
-Phones that manage to avoid bricking need to have a battery pull monthly if the user has the Bluetooth function turned on.
-Dropped calls in low coverage areas are worse than when the iP was exclusive to AT&T.
-The touch screen can be triggered when the phone is held close to the ear (and a different notification profile gets selected inadvertently).

At this point, the only 'advantage' for BB is the physical keyboard. But the advantage is rapidly losing ground to the virtual keyboards on phones with 4.5+ inch screens.

In the U.S., I doubt RIM/BB is going to see market share recovery, even after the BB10 phones are shipping.

I think you need to go back to 2007 if you cant accept the fact that qwerty phones are outdated

Not surprised though, blackberry fanboy

There are still a dedicated group of people who prefer QWERTY keyboard phones over touchscreens, my brother being one of them.

Have you used the keyboard on the new Bold? Try it out for a few weeks and see how you like it. Then bash.

I know two former BB9930 owners who have switched to virtual keyboards - one went to the iP5 & the other went to the GS III. In both examples, they ate the early termination fee just to get relief from the frustration of BBOS7.

I've tried that. No other physical keyboards (currently) can match the build quality of the Bold 9900/9930. It just feels right when you type.

I too believe that Blackberry will rise again be a serious player in the smartphone world. On a different note the South will also rise again at least in the spirit of the defense of states rights to limit the federal government's power (the real cause of the War of Northern Aggression).

sir the north kicked the souths back cover for a reason. They and you will never rise again. Ya'll just fall behind times with Blackberry. Smh anything to do with any minority/sexual preference/ womens rights would be illegal if the south my some world ending way rose again

Sir where I am from, the Confederates deterred the union navy without a single shot being fired (Fort Humbug), and crushed the unions army's advancement in all directions and you would be punched for talking like that. I am from the last place to surrender after the War. We only surrendered because Louisiana surrendered and it was a campaign for States' rights. When I said the South would rise again in spirit I was referring to real reason behind the War of northern Aggression, which was the southern states' desire to protect states rights from an over-controlling Federal Government. This desire is very pronounced today. You are aware that lincoln made the war about slavery to boost morale after the battle of gettysburg. Also the reason the north won was a superior Navy and transport (trains). BTW the events after the civil war such as race discrimination, lack of women's rights, and lack of rights for gays have nothing to do with the phrase "The South will rise again" because that is referring the the War of northern Aggression and the the issues listed were issues after the war. The South is rising again and has been for a few decades look up job growth in the sunbelt. And you used ya'll improperly; you should have said "Ya'll will."
Dam Yankees think they know about the War because they they learned the "history" of the war from the northern perspective rather than what really happened. You probably see the Confederate Battle Flag as a symbol of racism and oppression when it is really a symbol of a distinct culture and history of the South.

of course making it about slavery and actually ending slavery was brilliant. The south was firmly in favor of oppression and owning people. Fact check
