Presumed Galaxy S5 lock screen animation effect appears

Korean sources have posted what they hint will be the lock screen effect, coming with the Galaxy S5 on Monday.

The animation seems to be up and running on a Galaxy S4 handset, and is a departure from Samsung's current Ripple or Flare lock screen effect choices. Nothing can guarantee this isn't just a custom animation that has arrived with the KitKat update on the SK Telecom version of the S4, though, or just a sideloaded ROM of sorts.

Still, the S5 is likely to feature a new version of TouchWiz, and a new lock screen might be in tow indeed. There will apparently be new, flatter iconography, similar to the one that arrived with Samsung's tablet-oriented Magazine UX

An alleged screenshot from the S5 seemingly confirms the new style, too, and the lock screen effect you see below might be a part of it as well.

Meh. Lock screen effects come and go. Time for Sammy to tell all about what their new toy will be equipped with.

Not only that, but it's ugly! I'll be really disappointed if this is somehow true.

I hope it is at least changeable. There's something tacky about it like those weird animations you get when you install a new ROM

They need to make one something like, Samsung Serious. No bloat, business minded ui, no fancy colors or tweaks, clean and powerful. Imo.
