Although we’ve seen it already featured in a circular already, we’ve pointed out that the consumer electronics retailer would eventually start offering pre-orders. Well, starting today, you can head into any of their...

verizon only wants to sell the iphone rite now and then talk shit how great the iphone sold..more people will buy the iphone since its cheaper..their no need for the TB to be $250 compare to the HTC Inspire 4G which is $99..even the releases date was push back so that the iphone would sell more

you're right Verizon only wants to sell the iphone now so they're selling another phone four days later. Are you a moron or do you just put comments under random articles and hope it applies?

The fifty $50 difference in price from the usual 199.99 after rebate for other high end verizon phones is justified when you look at the fact that not only does it now have the front facing camera (meh) but cool for some, and the 32gb sd card preinstalled with 8gb internal memory. Those alone easily account for the price hike. Worth it, this thing may not exceed Verizon's Iphone in sales but i feel its a much better phone. well worth the cost.

I'm sorry, but are we forgetting that the Thunderbolt has an LTE radio and the Inspire doesn't? The Thunderbolt is ready for the future the Inspire is an impressive, but time locked piece of technology. That radio alone is a worthy investment.

I am having a hard time believing that Verizon could shaft a high end phone like the Thunderbolt by jacking up prices just to get iPhone sells going. This machine is serious, and HTC is a fantastic company. iPhone will sell no matter what. T-Bolt needs support to seperate from the other high end droids. Come on Big Red- wake up to what will actually keep you #1- iPhone sells with AT&T will be a wash- these top end Droids will be the differenc makers.

4g android>3g iPhone. Better quality front facing camera, larger display, better rear facing camera, more memory... will get reception lol. Can't wait to grab one! Once the iPhone is lte enabled maybe ill use one... maybe.

Reading through the comments-you people out there are a bunch of cheepos. You should probably be on Metro-PCS. Of course Verizon wants to sell the iphone. Who wouldn't! That's why they threw all of you fools out there a bone and you woke up at 3am to buy it. They want to get all they can from the iphone that comes to the 4G network dead on arrival-DOA. No flash, no 4G, your car micro usb charger want work either, and a iphone 5 out by the end of 2011. Then all of those people who had to have the iphone 4 will be left there on a 3g phone, and no flash and a upgrade 2 years away. This is why Verizon hacked the new every 2, and only offer promotional discounts 20 months into a 24 month contract. So you will be left with adding another line or paying full retail for your iphone 5 that will probably be 4G capable. As for the price of the Thunderbolt--It's 50 more than what we used to pay. I would pay the difference for the 32gb sd card vice 16 or even 8 that comes standard in the phones now. As I recall when the Evo carried by Sprint launched, the phone was $250.00.--revisit the site. The Thunderbolt is a mere Evo made with better construction, a bigger sd card and on a better network. That's the difference. So stop crying about the $50 bucks and take it or leave it. Happy reading and bring on the comments

if you are gonna make a comment about a phone- make a comment and stop wasting valuable server space for comments about English and grammar errors on the site--if this were the case, none of those people at phonearena would be available because none of them can spell RECEIVE correctly. this is a cell phone forum, not English 101.

KPark23, you just made a fool of yourself. Just because a phone is 4G doesn't put it on the same shelf. You got lowend, midrange and highend smartphones. Look at the 3G Android smartphones, Citrus, Devour, Cliq, all lowend smartphones. Do you compare it to the DroidX, Evo and say look at how much Sprint and Verizon are selling the phone for just because they are 3G

Verizon is not sucking up..we the consumer are jumpin on the iphone uproar. Vw is in the business of makin money and thats it....period...make the money on the iphone before all the new 4g andoid show up later in the year..then tbose 3am fools will be left on the 3g network paying for everything in the app store to include. 99 cents for angrybirds whichbis free in android

KPark23 just the 32gb micro sd card that comes with the phone is worth about $60-$70 + the inspire only has 4 gbs internal memory while the thunderbolt got 8. It also got ffc for video calls. All that is difinitely worth the higher price tag.

Verizon did not price the TB more than the iphone... only the 16gb iphone is $199, the 32gb is $299, making the TB a much better deal, judging on memory for the money alone. TB gets my heart on Valentines day!!!

Verizon Needs To Drop The Price To $199 It Will Be Much Better They Have The Droid Bionic Coming For $199 With The Same Specs If Not Better Minus The Memory But Jus Lower The Price

Anyone know if the HTC Thunderbolt has a HDMI output. Also, the TB appears to be the same phone as the Sprint HTC EVO 4G. The Sprint HTC EVO has a HDMI output and I have not seen HDMI output capabilty in the specs with the TB. Also, heard the daily battery life on both phones is poor.

HTC Thunderbolt or the iphone4? Most reviews are in favor on the tb. Anyone agree. I was thinking of getting the tb over the iphone4. Feedback greatly appreciated.
