3. Dead EVO Battery! unregistered

Doesn't work for the EVO! Don't waste your time, money and the battery on your EVO! Bought it last night, swapped covers and left it over night to charge only to find this morning my EVO has a dead battery. As soon as my EVO battery get's charge a little bit by it's normal AC charger, PowerMat is going back to Best Buy for a refund!

I've pickup this battery cover from local Bestbuy tonight that I found out from engadget.com. I was excite for no more cables for my EVO... but I was so wrong. It didn't work, no charge... it does make powermat sync sound, but that's about it. No charge... nada.. So I went back to Bestbuy with my brand new powermat charging station with it and try on another unit. Same result.. so open 3rd box and no difference on result... so I got my money back and came back home with disappointment. May be Powermat should recall all of them back, before it's too late?

The company that makes the Powermat is probably the biggest Apple/AT&T fanboy company out there. Most of the receivers are for Apple Products or for Blackberries on AT&T. You have to be lucky to have a Blackberry on another carrier that will work with their receivers. The powercube that they offer is a poor substitute for their wireless, pick up and go charging, if I'm supposd to plug it into their powercube so I can use their powermat, I might as well plug it into the wall charger that came with my phone. This is a product that I would love to buy, however they don't have a receiver for the Droid, or any other phone that I would be interested in, like the Droid X. The market for this is HUGE, but it's not going to go anywhere without the company making more receivers for more devices. Not everyone has or likes the iPhone, them making a receiver for the EVO this late in the year just shows that they have no interest in making more receivers for other products.
