One X does rather well with fanboys, unfortunately not with normal users.

yeah. if it's not apple fanboys vs android fanboys, it's htc vs samsung.

wish they would just cut the crap. the two are great phones for the price.

For me it's simple. I don't like TouchWiz. +1 for HTC

Previously i preferred Sense over Touchwiz
But after handling both these monsters, i liked Touchwiz more, felt more functional
Plus, i hate HTC's new dialpad

You can't go wrong with either one.

I personally like Sense, but Verizon didn't offer the phone, coupled with my preference for a removable battery and microsd, and it had to be the SGS3.

Though, I was planning on waiting for the RAZR HD. But now that's not an option.

If HTC had microsd. Maybe removable battery. It would've definitely won.

2GB of ram is nice, but not super duper necessary. I'd be willing to compromise on that one.

MicroSD + Removable battery = say goodbye to beautiful monolithic design.

No, just removable battery. MicroSD could be like the SIM card.

The specs. A lot of people are just spec hungry, and since the GS3 has the best A-9 quad-core processor (or 2 GB RAM, depending where you live), obviously they are going to go for that without considering much else. Though that covers a fair portion of people, another portion just enjoy Touchwiz UX better than Sense 4. Whether because Sense is too heavy for them, or they just like the overall UI and features of Touchwiz better is up to the person.

I'm pretty basic with my GS2, my needs are easily met by the dual-core Snapdragon S3, even though being one of the lowest performing dual-cores on the market (web browsing could be better though). So anything more than that would be pretty negligible. I probably wouldn't notice the difference in speed between the One X and GS3, except maybe in web browsing with the One X because Sense 4 is kind of weird with that.

I'm most likely going to get the next Nexus, and I will be content with that for a long while if the rumored specs are true, until a couple years of updates when it starts to slow down a bit. I really don't understand people that are just like, "OMG I need a quad-core 2 GHz processor and a 1080p 4.5" display with 4 GB of RAM!" And all they do is just text, watch Youtube, and play Angry Birds. That's just ridiculous.

The basic reason for choosing S3 over One X was the fact of battery life. I have read many reviews about the battery life of One X which has distracted me from owing a One X. SD card does not a real matter for me as built in 16 GB memory is enough for me...

Why do the PA readers vote for the gs3? Easy, 'cause in all the comparisons you have run in the past, you declared the gs3 as the clear winner. But you have never done a comparison between these two with one x running the last version of sense. I bought the gs3 and swapped it for the X as soon as it got updated. Compare them, show the people and do the pole again...

well wellll guyss. read this comment its imp. first of all i just got my htc one x update to version 4.0.4 and damn damn its on fire. buttery smooth. and definately better than samsung gs3. i mean it. look i have both phones. i use samsung gs3 and htc one x. at first sammy seem better but to b frank it actually sucks on looks and its cheap body. the decision is not biased at all cause i like samsung hardware. but when i updated my htc one x , it showed better results. and a very smooth user interface this time with no lags at all. on the other hand sammy still has lags. and user interface sucks. battery has improved a lot . i literally mean it. for those who think i am a htc fanboy, m sorry for them. cause i love samsung phones but this is clear that htc has a better ui and better body and looks .and if jelly bean comes god htc s gna b on fire. and m not giving this review just like that, its a USER REVIEW. and i m not in a mood to hurt samsung fanboys here. its just my experience with both phones. good luck htc ur better, far more better

and yes dont worry about this poll guys who wanna buy one x. cause its on older version. compare WITH ANDROID 4.0.4 and samsung is no where near to htc in any aspect. M GONNA SELL MY SAMSUNG GS3 NOW. ppl always give biased decisions without using the phones actually. they use one only and offcorse they vote for the one they use. where as IAM USING BOTH. so is the reason m giving my reviews. read my review above, all aspects covered. thanx.
