Palm plans to roll out three new Treo smartphones in 2006

Palm CEO Ed Colligan revealed Palm's intentions to introduce three new smartphone models next year, besides the already announced Windows Mobile-based Palm Treo 700w, which is expected to be launched in January 2006. Ed Colligan's stament confirmed previous reports about Palm's plans to expand its line-up of Treo smartphones by adding the Treo 700p, which is similar to the Treo 700w model as well as the models known as Hollywood and Lowrider. The three new handsets are said to be equipped with next-generation radio technologies. It was mentioned that one of this models probably will not be introduced on the U.S. market as it is specifically designed for a large international carrier, although it wasn't stated which one.
