Ah, I never thought of it that way. Thanks!
Jelly Bean is still beastly and feature packed as well as smooth, and iOS is really smooth (with limitations).
Still rather have Android, but Apple has done pretty well this round.

Not true. While I have had issues with various Android builds, and certainly various Android handsets, they are not all pathetic. The One S is speedy, thin, and a great little handset. The GNex is almost a year old, and Jelly Bean turned it into a new phone. The HTC One X is nice, gorgeous screen, and with an AOSP-based ROM, pretty quick. I hated the build quality on my i9300, but the phone is plenty fast, especially with TouchWiz.

the android market just moves differently
it doesn't make it inferior to the iphone upgrade cycle
your comment doesn't say anything of value
you are wasting everyone's time

GSM Arena shows the GS3 beating the Iphone 5 in geekbench not to mention the results in the various GLbenchmarks were different and considerably higher, I trust them more than some idiots than unilaterally declare the Iphone 5 the fastest without disclaimers that you can't really compare effectively how fast Iphone really is unless you run Android on it, OS differences give different results

The tests are the same. Especially the browser benchmarks and javascript which are platform independent. The graphics rendered are the same. You are an idiot.

Even though you might not see this you really are incredibly stupid, why do custom ROMS get higher benchmarks even with stock frequencies you f**king ingrate!!!?? Even browser benchmarks fyi I get varying scores and the better optimized the ROM the higher scores I get, get your head out your ass

javascript, HTML5, and all the other browser benchmarks are VERY dependent on a well optimized system with free resources like memory and CPU use. In order for them to be completely "platform independent", they would have to be run without being on a platform.

Half-Baked iOs that dosent run any apps at the back-ground along where the ios dosen't need that much cpu to push it's system, and having around 800MB of RAM left, why wouldn't this app launcher iOs get high scores...
Comparing the Half-Baked iOs to a full LINUX.

SGSIII is faster even in this iOS based benchmark, PC Mag wrote wrong results:http://browser.primatelabs.com/android-benchmarks & http://browser.primatelabs.com/ios-benchmarks. Get it over, this iPhone is yet old !

my problem is i remember when the Xperia TX and V out scored every phone, including the galaxy S3, nobody was proclaiming them to be the "fastest phone in the world" ....Now where they?

These benchmark really offer nothing to the real world day to day use. Right now it's called passification the need to make apple feel they have the best device on the market. People with Galaxy S3 devices already know our device has been the top device on the market since June 21st 2012 here in the States and since May abroad. This device is the ONLY DEVICE on the market with 2gb of ram nothing else compares GPU wise. Nice try to pander to apple heads that's just like saying whatever needs to be said while runnign a campaign simular to our friend Mr. Mitt Romney.. Pandering my satisfy apple heads but we on android already know what the best device is because we brought it in June and will be buying it again come November when the Galaxy Note 2 comes out. Apple products are and always will be an after thought..

Gimped version being compared against the new iphone?
Why not mix quadcore versions of the phones into the mix?

I guess with the benchmarks all these fandroids aren't gonna have much to say. It doesn't matter what android puts out as soon as a new iphone comes out... well lets just say android is like last years tech.

Nah, now Android OEMs will strike back with the likes of SGS4 and Co. The mobile tech world is moving forward like no other, every new product has to outshine the previous one. That is called tech evolution cycle.

ok maybe the "fastest" but thats its its like having a ferrari engine and putting it in a mini cooper. So the phones fast so what it doesn't do anything revolutionary. Oh the iphone can stream video, play games and download at high speeds? um sounds like a ipod touch to me. So stop it with the fandroid I rather have a slightly "slower" phone that does everything that has current gen and next gen technology. The iphone is just boring and it'll get a minimal update adding something the should have put in the phone this year next year when they add the S. So be happy with your blazing fast ipod touch

I thought iphone is slower to gs3 when running Jelly Bean. Dont care because no phone could be near to Note and will wait for Note2. That large screen is just great and tailormade for me. iphone is great too but Note 2 is it.

iboring would you stop lying to yourself the i5 is embarrasing. .5inch taller phone and no real innovative features. gaytor is right JB actually adds speed and features that the iphone will get when it hits 7. so please stop its one thing to lie to us but don't lie to yourself

Why are you lying to yourself? The screen size is not an e-penis metric. The iPhone can actually be used with one hand. That's why phone sizes range from 3.2" all the way up to 5.5". You are an idiot for comparing phone sizes. If you care about them so much, go get a 10" tablet and put it in your pocket.

And are you actually claiming that JB will have "innovative" features? The two major features in JB are literally just Google's attempt to try and catch up with iOS. The speed gain you boast is just project Butter, hardware acceleration for the UI that iOS has had since day one and Android is still struggling to do right. The other is the Siri competitor. Copycat much?

please bear in mind that the latest i.o.s version is 6 now, whereas the Android one is 4.1, i don't care about the version, what i want to express is that Android is still young, but as you confessed by yourself, it easily catch up with I.o.s (or surpass it in many ways : Google maps for instance)
So, in the years which are coming, as it has been estimated by many Experts, Android with the power of Gigantic Google rules the world. consider what Android 6 will be alike in 2015? or a day which every Android phone will be emerged with a pre-installed Google Maps Application, but other platforms have to pay for it. it will happen, be sure.

it's like a joke, playing well with the numbers and benchmark softwares, PC mag has always has been a fan of apple (i don't know why?, maybe due to the fact that they are American too!)
the fastest Smart phone in the world is currently "LG optimus G". that's why they had frightened to put this Gadget face to face with iphone5. i don't care about Numbers, a geek knows this Rule very well : always Hardware Talks.
So still (and always) Android rules.
you can check the results inwww.glbenchmark.com

Hardware isn't the only thing that matters. Is it that hard to accept that iPhone can be in some ways better than Android phones for some people?
