Microsoft is going all out and expediting their launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 with an estimated 30 smartphones to be made available before the end of 2009. Sure Android has come far with a small following to manifest into a big name player in the mobile platform world. Fortunately for Microsoft they are keeping up with the competition while being backed by some 15 handset vendors. HTC, HP, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, and Acer have been some of the manufacturers that express their support for Microsoft's latest mobile OS. Although a majority of these handsets will be new to the market, Microsoft is also playing nice by having older devices fitted with the latest Windows Mobile installment. It's no surprise the dominant figure Microsoft still has in the market, we'll soon see how they stack with the competition.
