Our OnePlus One battery life test is complete: score rattles the Sony Xperia Z2's throne

The Sony Xperia Z2 held its ground for the excellent 8 hours and 10 minutes on our custom battery life test, which actually puts the phone at the very top of our rank list, at least in terms of current generation flagships. And while this continues to be the case, it would be wrong to claim that the Z2 (a 3200 mAh battery) shouldn't feel threatened -- the OnePlus One (OPO), whose test was just completed, achieved a score that is equally as impressive...

Better display, better battery life, better speakers and call quality. The Z1 Compact was also an improvement over the Z1.

Good battery life, but no one can get their hands on one.

I didn't realize that the z2 got such good battery life until owning it. It's a beast this far

And Dragontrail Glass The feel and touch aswell as the heavy weight feels great to hold and touch Prestige looking handset, with great materials. My Note3 feels so light and tacky and cheap. Cheap junk dustbin plastic. Though I love the N3 specs, with. 4xA15 E5422 Exynos Cpu.

My z2 is now lasting longer but i still wish for some software refinements. The ar/4k mode on the camera makes the unit hot. Even less demanding games makes it hot, i know i can dunk it in water but an update would be nicer. Oh and while im at it a better charging dock with more options would be nice too

Big deal if it gets hot. You don't complain when the weather reaches 40+ celcuis? Do you have baby fingers? Looks like you must love touching the part where the Cpu, Gpu is on the top left and middle side. Just buy a case, if it's hot. Do you complain when your Pc or laptop gets hot? It's an electronic device, what did you expect it to get freezing cold?

I own other phones, older xperia and iphones, none got as hot as my z2. I am not complaining, im wishing sony addresses this issue which could be remedied through software update. Talk to me when you own an xperia z2 and experience first hand what i talked about. Your reply makes no sense to me blah blah blah na na na People complain all the time, no matter how big or little the change in temperature is, in z2 case its beyond normal. Pathetic me arguing with a troll. Anyways im still happy and content with my shiny new sony xperia z2. Super nice phone!

People can poo-poo all they want, but I just replaced my note1 with a Huawei Ascend Mate2, and I routinely get 3-4 DAYS worth of use. Oh, it's only got a snapxxx processor, only has 720p screen, only has JB4.3 etc etc. It's light speed faster, no lag, runs everything I throw at it, lots of phone, 4-5 photos, web, text, runs like a champ. Might not be a "flagship killer" but for my mid 50 year old eyes it's bright & clear. Nothing against the top tier phones, but I'm not paying 600 bucks or more, just to have the fastest processor. If it is fast enough for me, that's good enough for me. Heck, I never bothered to update my note past 4.1.2, since it was STABLE as can be. My biggest headache with it is even with a new battery, I couldn't get through 3/4 of a day without having to recharge it.

Android central says the G3 beats out the M8 in battery life with actually showing the usage.

ONE PLUS is an excellent buy considering the price, features & the 4g compatibility. No smartphone with 4g comes anywhere near to the price of this amazing smart phone. I congratulate the maker of this smartphone for making it available to users who cannot afford the very expensive smartphones yet giving all what a smartphone should really have.

How come you did not review Xiaomi Mi3 for example? With 3050 mAh battery and power efficient MIUI?? How can you call this accurate? The company just break records and you ignore it :D
