Opera Mini available worldwide

Opera Software announced the worldwide availability of the Opera Mini Web browser, after initial trials in selected European countries. The new browser is designed to be used on the vast majority Java-enabled mobile phones, including low- and mid-end handsets. It reduces the size of websites via a proxy server, thus allowing them to load faster and fit the phone's display. Opera Mini ensures a quick access to Web search by featuring a Google search box on its home page. Opera Mini is available to download free on the company's website, although there might be a charge from the carriers for connecting Internet via the cellphone. Users can also download the browser via SMS against a small fee.
