The OnePlus 3 and 3T continue to receive updates that address many of the issues reported by users. Either it's the Open Beta ring or the closed beta channel, OnePlus pushes new updates for these smartphones almost on a weekly basis.

The new OxygenOS Open beta 20/11 for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, respectively, are now available for download to everyone who enrolled in the Open Beta program. These updates bring the same changes, so here is what you get if you own the OnePlus 3 or 3T.

First of all, several optimizations have been added such as the battery saver indication, which has been changed from orange status bar to a notification. Also, the calculation method for data usage statistics has been optimized, so tracking should now be more accurate.

Furthermore, expanded screenshot has been optimized too so that it allows users to make captures while GIFs and videos are being played. Lastly, some visual effects improvements for the Weather widget have also been included in the update.

According to OnePlus, a couple of bugs have been addressed in these Open Beta updates, which are likely to be released to a larger audience in the coming days.

Bug fixes:

  • Resolved various 3rd party app crashes;
  • Fixed Bluetooth device battery status wrongly displayed for non-supported devices;
  • Fixed Weather occasionally not being able to retrieve forecast data.

The update will arrive OTA (over the air) on any of the OnePlus 3 and 3T phones that have an Open Beta already installed. Otherwise, you'll have to flash it manually.
