They’re right. I won’t “settle” low quality, uncalibrated products that charge a premium because they boast a spec sheet. This company kind of lost its differentiator factor when they started charging higher price tags. May as well buy an optimized Samsung flagship or an Apple device for a little bit extra if you got 700+ to drop on a new phone anyway.

The quality of their phones have always been top tier. Phone is worth the price of admission.

Is this the oneplus 5? Their build quality has only improved since those days.

What is unoptimized/uncalibrated about OnePlus phones? Have you ever used one? Your Samsung will get dead slow within a few months of usage while a 2.5 years old OnePlus 3T still runs lag free and faster than any Samsung flagship. If anything, it's Samsung that needs to take admission in OnePlus academy on how to do software. Your comment seems just like a hate filled one with no substance. Not to mention less than $700 on OnePlus will get you a 90Hz curved Super AMOLED QHD+ display rated A+, a superior back 3 camera set-up, superior selfie camera, superior 30 watt charging, bigger 4000 mAh battery, better looks, better software, faster device without bloatware, faster updates, stereo speakers, no notch display etc. Good luck with your sub $700 Samsung flagship or Apple that doesn't exist. And even the $750 alternatives are no match for the 7 Pro. 720p and 1080p notch screens with small batteries, lack of cameras.

The overall stability of ONE UI seems to be far better though.

This. People always complain, but OnePlus is offering a quality device. They have to charge more when they started adding much wanted extras to their devices, it ain't free. We also don't know how much profit they're making for their devices, you have software and development cost, marketing and advertising, etc. Their prices are reasonable to me.

They use lots of stuff previously used from Oppo. It is much cheaper to do this. Other brands makes more expensive phones (factory costs) amd get bashed.

A year with my s9 and it's still as fast as when I got it new. Do you even have a flagship Samsung or just talking out of your a55? I also have a Note 9 and it's lag free and smooth.

What do you mean by "optimized"? Have you ever used a OnePlus device? I use a 6T as my daily driver and I can tell you, after having owned Samsung, LG, HTC and Huawei devices, OnePlus has BY FAR the best software experience! So fast, so fluide it is absolutely amazing. So when it comes to software, I'd say OnePlus is more "optimized" than any other Android, except may Pixel diveces. Build quality to me is on a level playing field with Samsung or Apple.

absolutely right you are. specs are high, but si does the new ZTE Nubia Red Magic 3. like others said, i wanted to upgrade my OP3 to the PRO, but i am not willing to drop so much cash. I think the ZTE has exactly same soecs foor $300 less. For this this is a winner.

They are still making a standard OP7 which will likely be $579-$599. Still a good deal IMHO.

Good thing oneplus has started to target your average consumer because the tech geek community is very small and super picky. You upped the price by one or two hundred and they go insane. These are the same people that keep asking for stereo speakers, water resistance, and good cameras. Oneplus is trying to do all that with this phone but know ya'll mad cause the price went up. Its ridiculous and pathetic.

You said stupid and ignorant, less than $700 one plus gives you tons of bells and whistles. There's a reason why Samsung fans upgrade there phones every year because they get slow. people be having the note 8 and a can't wait to get the note 9 and this always been like that with Samsung. if Samsung phones were so great why do their customers feel the need to upgrade every 6 or 7 or eight months? I have the one plus 6t, now am Im getting the one plus 7 or 7 plus? No I am NOT because I don't have to. My 6T is still running as blazing fast now as when I first got it back in November.

We upgrade our phones because we want the next new thing not because they get slow SMH

OIS on the 48MP sensor would be a great achievement, only Huawei P20 Pro and P30 Pro have OIS on bigger sensors. If the chin was missing and it had a notification LED I would have considered it. It's also too big.

What do you mean if the chin was missing? It's barely noticeable!!!

Those pictures are typical Chinese doctored marketing pictures, like we have seen so many times, in reality it will probably be significantly bigger. Also, if it was barely noticeable they wouldn't have used a misleading background.

Of course, that could be the case. But previous OnePlus press renders obtained by these sources have shown accurate depictions of past OnePlus devices, including the OnePlus 6T. There wasn't any doctoring involved.

Joshua, people forget that there are screen connectors by bottom bezel. Then they think it is possible to be as slim as the top. Now ppl complain if bezel has 2mm. Too big for them.

You need to see it in real life, because as of now most of Chinese flagship phones from big brands all have press render that represents real life, for example:Find X has chin that's look exactly like press render. Yes, it's bigger than the other sides but the actual height of that chin when compare to the Iphone Xs, it's about 1.5mm thicker than Iphone.

Most likely the same camera as the Huawei. But OnePlus is much more appealing as it's not a common phone and updates are on with the like who Motorola and Nokia (now the Pixel gets faster update)

Main camera is same of mi9. 48MP 1/2". Huawei uses 40MP 1/1.7". Imx586 has 8mm diagonal. Imx650 has 10mm diagonal.

Really bro? If "the chin" was missing? There's nothing there already. Ppl such as yourself that whine about chins foreheads ears or whatever you wanna call them, are wearing thin on me. Too me it's like phones getting thinner and thinner, for what? You start sacrificing functions, all for a cosmetic look. Couldn't be dumber imo. When phones started to be looked at as fashion accessories is when things started going downhill. Imo, the note 4, yes the note 4 did everything the best
