The appeal is mostly about the name. It's why people buy Pagani or Bugatti instead of Ford or Hyundai. It's about perceived quality and status. Doesn't hurt that there are many years of software updates for the iPhone as well.

iOS is what makes the iPhone so attractive.

Or unattractive depending on your OS preference, I wouldn't touch iOS, so iPhone are largely irrelevant to me.

IOS is the biggest reason I would not buy an iPhone. Outdated, too limited, inferior built-in apps, not optimized well for larger screens and buggy updates.

It’s about the package. Pictures are great, filming is the best, SoC plus updates that gives for 5 years, iCloud let you do anything seemless between any Apple-product, build quality. App Store is still more appealing to browse then Google Play. That’s just my two cents but I do agree that there is a lot more hardware for your money on the other side of the fence. But the real question is why do we still want to buy the latest phone? It’s not like a two-three year old phone can’t do what a new one does. If it ain’t broke no need to upgrade. I think we will see this prolonged upgrade-cycle grow and grow. The phones are to damn good for now.

This only applies, when you have the full Apple eco-system. Just iPhone (withtout the whole lot) has almost nothing over other devices (it just works, ah ok, let it be). But thats true, the strongest point for any Apple product is, when you have 1+ (pun intended) Apple devices - thats where I and Mac OS'es shine! Since I have nothing from Apple and most of my life is in Google, 7 PRO is just better choice (atleast on paper, as I am waiting it to be delivered).

I have had many OLED phones never a sign of burn-in, nor heard of anyone who I know who owned one complaining of this. I doubt you have ever used one in recent years and just repeat this outdated notion. Tech has progressed.

ROG has 90Hz oled. Xperia 1 has 120Hz oled. Nothing revolutionary here.

What's your point? It's still better than 60hz.

Thats what happens when you make a 90hz panel. Stick to 60hz for now till battery tech improves.

Will dust and debris be able to get into the camera mechanism alas the hinge on the Galaxy Fold allowing particles to become lodged inside?

DXOMark, a site specialized in photography equipment ratings, rated the camera as one of the highest rated ever.

I mean quite simply IOS is limited in what it can do.
