My s8 got last month too. Wondering why he is yet to receive it. Besides, he can easily flash it with Odin.

What version do you have? I have the T-Mobile (U.S.) version and I got it 2 days ago.

Yeah, the carriers have an agreement with Samsung that they get it before the US unlocked version. The last of the 4 just got it, so it should be arriving shortly. I'm with you though. I prefer 8.1. I feel like it's gone backward in some aspects.

Samsung doesn't need to learn how to sell phones. They need to learn how to update their devices in a timely manner. That said, most Samsung phones come with better features than the latest android version anyway.

Sweet. OnePlus phones are great but let’s be real they aren’t that value offering anymore.

This is just a Vivo NexS or V15 Pro without the headphone jack and an SD855. The pop-up mechanism on my NexS has had zero issues for me and other users on XDA. Zero complaints or failures. Check out the Jerryrigeverything video on YouTube. Some of the comments here are baffling, as if Oneplus have reinvented the wheel, whilst it's almost identical to the 9 month old NexS. In other words, you can buy this phone right now (from a US seller on ebay) like I did with an SD845, 8GB/128GB, insane battery life AND headphone jack for around $500.

If they called all these phone's not bezze-less display's but chin design smartphone's they would be more accurate!

If this is true it looks like I'll be keeping my 3T a bit longer. Currently the best option in my opinion is a dual screened device. Followed in order by preference, hole punch, slider, teardrop notch, pop-up camera, then lastly the iPhone type notch.

Hmmm. Moving parts? Hopefully the reliability of slide out camera will be good.

I will never use the selfie camera, so for me the pop-up design looks perfect. No selfie camera at all would be even better :) But it is so lame that they are within 1mm of removing the chin and yet they can't do it. The phone would look perfect without the chin.

I very rarely use the front facing camera so I have no problem if it's hidden.

Because is where screen connectors are... 100% screen cannot be done. Lower bezel will never be like the top.

I think Apple did kinda achieve this, starting with the iPhone X. They used a flexible OLED panel to curve the screen behind itself, which places the display controller chip behind the screen and allows the screen to actually extend all the way to the bottom of the phone. That's why the iPhone X and XS have virtually no "chin."

I own an iPhone XS. It looks to me that Apple has avoided the chin by making an all around bezel of 3mm. In any way, Apple has found the most pleasant solution fort he Problem since there is at least a balanced design.

They still have a chin. It's the same size as the new S10+.

iPhones do this, so if someone can, then sooner or later many will be able to.

Forget the S10, I’m definitely waiting for this. Good bye Apple. My iPhone 7 Plus had a great run. What a beautiful phone this will turn out to be. They made the right choice with all the features. I hardly use the selfie camera, I never use wired headphones or wireless charging, and if the battery size is correct this will definitely be a great phone for me. OnePlus FTW!

I'll probably change my mind in the future. But for now, I like my phone having a headphone jack.

Love it! MUCH BETTER than the notch, hole punch and whatever others are doing - this is true just screen awesomeness! Really looking forward to this beauty and if it's under 600€ for the base model they're going to make a serious dent on other flagship contenders out there - mark my words! The true return of the flagship killer it looks and probably and finally a worthwhile replacement for my OP 5. Bring it on already!!!

I love the decision to go pop up. Why? Cuz I don't give a damn about taking selfies! Lol. Give me a clean unobstructed bezeless front screen experience any and every day!!

But you will lose any waterproofing OnePlus had (and this wasn't even IP rated).

I really like this design however the 6.5" screen will probably kill it for me. I had the Oneplus 6 and 6T and loved the phones but the size is just too damn big! Hopefully in the future they make a smaller phone like this.
