OnePlus 6T to have new OxygenOS UI, improved camera and additional navigation gestures
A post written by OnePlus was posted in the company's forum and revealed some interesting information about the OnePlus 6T. The company says that it wanted to "express the OnePlus design language in our UI, making this the most distinct and intuitive version of OxygenOS yet." In other words, the phone will debut a new UI for OxygenOS. The camera has been improved and a new Do Not Disturb mode and navigation gestures are said to make the OnePlus 6T run smoother than past OnePlus handsets.

With the new navigation gestures, when you swipe up in an app, the app will follow your finger. You'll also be able to swap between two recent apps by making a quick flick from the bottom of the screen toward the right of the screen. And Google Assistant can be activated by holding the power button for half a second. With the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform powering the phone, OnePlus added an AI-based algorithm that will learn when you sleep. This will allow the OnePlus 6T to know when it can slow down on updating apps in the background, which results in extended battery life.

The OnePlus 6T will be unveiled on October 30 in New York City and will feature its Screen Unlock in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will carry a 6.4-inch OLED display with a waterdrop notch and a resolution of 1080 x 2340. That works out to an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform is under the hood with 6GB/8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of native storage inside. A dual camera setup is on back, with a 25MP front-facing snapper for selfies and video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 3700mAh battery, and Android 9 Pie will be pre-installed.

And don't forget that for the first time ever, we could see a OnePlus handset available via a U.S. carrier. T-Mobile will reportedly offer the OnePlus 6T in its stores. OnePlus surely has come a long way from those days when an invitation was required to buy a OnePlus phone.
