OnePlus 6 tops benchmark chart, iPhone X-like notch highly likely
Last week, we saw a couple of photos that allegedly showed a OnePlus 6 prototype, revealing an iPhone X-like notch on the front, and a glossy back panel. Now, newly leaked details seem to be confirming the existence of a notch on OnePlus’ upcoming flagship smartphone.

Android Central has obtained a couple of screenshots reportedly showing AnTuTu benchmark results from the OnePlus 6 (model number OnePlus A6000). The handset’s overall score, 276,510, is the highest ever recorded on this particular benchmarking program. The score is slightly higher than the one recently registered by a mysterious Xiaomi phone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Most probably, this means the OnePlus 6 is also using a Snapdragon 845 processor, though that shouldn’t surprise anyone, as all previous OnePlus phones have relied on the latest available Qualcomm chipsets.

Of course, a high benchmark score doesn’t necessarily mean a flawless user experience, so it remains to be seen how the OnePlus 6 compares to its predecessor (OnePlus 5T, pictured above), or to other flagship smartphones of 2018.

As you’ll notice below, the display of the OnePlus 6 is super tall. The existence of all that empty space at the top (in the middle) only makes sense if there’s a notch there separating the system clock from the icons on the right (SIM cards and battery). Overall, the display should have an 18:9 aspect ratio, and the real, final OnePlus 6 could look like this Oppo R15 (OnePlus and Oppo are sub-brands of the same company, and have shared phone designs in the past).

The OnePlus 6 might be officially unveiled as soon as this month, although it’s more likely that OnePlus will announce the device sometime later - possibly in, or around June, thus about one year after introducing the OnePlus 5. We’ll be here to let you know more about the upcoming handset as soon as new info is available.
