So yeah, One Plus sold their soul to Apple. The only one left with their own identity are Samsung...

why are we surprised? they blatantly copy apple each year, they have always had a notification slider, and has never included microsd support (which is a pro and con, because people will put garbage sd cards in there and then blame performance issues on the company). its basically the iphone for android, an idroid if you may... i suggest this or the pixel to anyone wanting to swtich from apple

That's not true that they never shipped with SD card support, OnePlus X boasted this feature. Though I must admit that it was their experiment and off-the-main-line model.

Flagships have HDR screen, ingress protection 67 or 68, stereo speakers and high end screen . Cpu, gpu and ram only does not make it flagship

Tbh the OnePlus 5T screen is probably one of the best available. It is a new generation Samsung AMOLED screen as is rated for amazing sunlight legibility

Is it?, the problem with OnePlus is i can't test or see their devices anywhere, my only problem with screen is PPI. I might order 6 and then see, if i don't like it i can return it within 2 weeks.

It comes with a higher price also and if they did go that route and raise the prices even more people will complain. You can't get all the high end specs with a price lower than $500. The company would be out of business in no time.

Dude don't say haters. Don't go there, that's stupid. It never had flagship built or features or camera or screen or or.. That's the truth. And that's why it used to be cheap (not anymore) And people don't like the notch, another truth. It's not a girls high school fight here to call others haters and we already know that oneplus 6 is the same design as oppo R15.

It was Essential that started the Notch not iPhone, the essential phone just had a much smaller notch.

Yet companies bothered to copy Apple’s notch. Go figure.

"iPhone X was being developed well before the Essential PH1 made its first public appearance" - Evan Blass And all these notches look similar to the one on the X so stop being a troll.

iClone... I don't like displays with rounded edges and notches are icing on the cake. But then again; I've a mild OCD! Oh well, G'Day!

what's uglier than the notch is a finger print scanner in front. Why can't people just embrace the notch?

19. RebelwithoutaClue unregistered

Because it's ugly af. It's impractical when it comes to notifications, even more so because the time is moving to the left. And in full screen apps/games, it gets in the way. So developers have to change their apps, so that 'extra' real estate isn't used anyway so I rather have some bezel.

I am praying for Pixels. I hope Google does not follows the blind herd of notch loving companies. Otherwise we'll be only left with S9 and Note9 with the most balanced design and if you want Pure Android experience then you are most probably left with nothing except Xperias.

Hopefully the Pixel 3 screens look like the Pixel 2XL's

I think as more people use phones with notches the dislike for them will come down. Either they will love it or hate it. I don't mind the notch on OnePlus 6.

Why couldn't they put the camera and sensors in the rounded corners and the speaker against the body? That would have consolidated everything into a thinner band and into places that are already radiused and unused. Try harder.

"Learn to love the notch".....
