OnePlus 6 to get on board the Super Slow Motion train

Not to be outdone by Sony, Samsung and Huawei, the upcoming OnePlus 6 will seemingly sport a Super Slow Motion feature, as tipped by its unveiling event invitation you see on the right.

Oh, the times we live in, when phones have dedicated camera sensor memory fast enough to store the whopping amounts of frames needed for a few seconds of amazing slow-motion video effects to spice up your footage.

The Galaxy S9, for instance, does 960fps slow-mo at 720p, while the Xperia XZ2 does the same at 1080p, which is much more usable as an end result. Sony, after all, pioneered this field with the Xperia XZ Premium. Huawei followed the trend with the P20 series, and now OnePlus is apparently going to get on board that slow moving trend.

I mean as long as we are getting SD 845 phones and newer, this will be the case.

It's up to the OEMs still though. I have my money on LG for example missing the super slow mo train but I could be wrong.

Sure they will match Samsung's slow mo. If they manage to match Sony's slow mo that will be a surprise!

Sony slow-mo is NOT better than Samsung's. Samsung and Sony both offer 720p @ 960 fps at 0.2 seconds. Sony just offers 1080p for half the time i.e. 0.1 seconds. The overall information is limited by the DRAM buffer on the chip, which is of the same size. With a software update, they can even offer 1440p, but only for 0.05 seconds or so. I believe even on Sony, the 720p one is the better option since 0.1 seconds is too low to time the moment in.

Yes it is... Sony has 1gigabit DRAM inside the sensor, Samsung has 2.

As much as folks are showing hate the 6 will still sell out. I have a feeling the 6T will have stero speakers.
