Seems like Samsung played this hand very well. Knowing the issue with the SD810 they had their own SoC ready to go. Other manufactures either are just starting to enter the SoC manufacturing business or are solely dependent on Qualcomm. This gives Samsung a huge advantage as all the, new mobile, phone manufactures in China were putting pressure on them. So, here Samsung stand out a bit above their competitors with a solid performing SoC. This gives them some breathing room for the year until the SD815 or 820 make their way to market which by that time, Samsung manufacturing are would have moved on to the 10nm Manufacturing process.

My confusion about the Snapdragon 810's overheating is the cause of the excessive heat. Is it the CPU cores or the GPU that overheats? If the GPU doesn't cause the overheating issue, why didn't Qualcomm put the Adreno 430 alongside the Snapdragon 808, instead of use the Adreno 418? That would have kept gaming performance at relatively good levels with cooler temperatures.

again i suggest you don't get it. invited system means limited supply and terrible support in terms of timely updates. Who know when it will get Android M when it launches. I'm assuming by middle of next year. Customer support is pretty bad from my experience
