Official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the HTC Thunderbolt leaked

Official Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the HTC Thunderbolt leaked
The HTC ThunderBolt may not have won any accolades from Woz, but for those of you still sporting this device, you were probably pretty excited to hear that the ThunderBolt is scheduled to receive an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade by the end of this month.

If you simply cannot wait any longer for Verizon to unleash the latest version of Android on this handset, you can now grab the official ROM thanks to Team BAMF. The ROM is build number 7.00.605.2 and includes Sense 3.6. While it is not “officially” from Verizon, this is the ROM that ThunderBolt owners will eventually see OTA.

If you’re ready for a little software adventure, you can check out Team BAMF’s site in the source link below. We must point out that their site is getting slammed at the moment and takes several minutes to load.

Miss your battery life? lol. I had a friend that carried extra 3 or 4 battery packs with him.

i'm not really sure if I want this update. my Tbolt is tapped out on resources as it is, and I have a feeling this may actually hurt it...we will see.

I'm a fan of android and even the form factor of The Thundrbolt, but damn android looks sloppy to be about to release an update that will put this OG phone on an almost year-old OS that has already been updated (to JB). Better late than never, but still WEAK. Red thumb me all you want, but this is the kind of crap that makes my apple stock keep going up $.

Here your thumb up :) However most consumers want android still instead of Apple and most of them don't mind the upgrade...

Team BAMF rules. Between them and Team Virus, my old Thunderbolt was formidable. Gonna flash this and see what happens.
