"Official" BlackBerry Neon render leaks

An image that is said to be an official render of the BlackBerry Neon, might be giving us a clue as to when we might see the handset introduced by the company. It's an old trick to be sure, but in many cases the date used on the official render will turn out to be the exact date that the phone is introduced. In this case, we could see BlackBerry's latest Android flavored handset greet the light of day on August 20th...

Waiting for an *official* announcement from BlackBerry regarding price. The price changes from one article to the next. Looks aside, I'm eager to see how well BlackBerry's power management tech is with this device. The battery is rather small, IMO.

It only have 16GB storage. After Android OS + BB bloatware, I wonder how much free space it will be.

"....and have 16GB of EXPANDABLE storage up to 2TB....." That's taken from here: http://crackberry.com/blackberry-neon-dtek50-appears-new-image Use an SD card and you won't have to worry about the native storage so much.

Yep. Was hoping the $270 price stuck, but $300 isn't bad, IMO.

Yuck! With all the experience Blackberry has with making phones, you think they could do a bit better than to just make a bland Nexus-looking Android phone. I think this shows what Nokia and RIM stated before. They didn't just want to be another Android brand, because the phone don't bring enough differentiation from others. That's what I personally like about Samsung phones. They looking nothin like many other Android's. They have their own style and with TouchWiz bring better features not even supported by android natively and that is why they are on the top of Android OEM's. That phone looks like a larger Nexus 5 or something. It's ugly.
