OCOSMOS announces their Android powered Mobile Internet Phone
Although it may be unlikely to ever see a device like this reach our shores, it still does exemplify the wonders of what Android can really do. OCOSMOS, a South Korean handset manufacturer, has just announced their new OCS5 MIP (considered a Mobile Internet Phone or Multimedia Internet Phone) that’s scheduled for release in the first half of 2010. Although you find some of the standard amenities of most phones, you can only place phone calls through VoIP when connected to Wi-Fi. Aside from that one aspect, it also features a bright 3.7” AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 5-megapixel camera, DMB mobile TV, GPS, 1GHz processor, and the specific Omos interface. You can check out the video to get an inside preview of what’s expected with this device.
