Nokia introduces the Android flavored "Z Launcher"

By writing out letters on the screen instead of typing on a keyboard, you get a list of apps and contacts that is dependent on where you are and what you are doing. On the top of the launcher is a clock and calendar and the usual Android dock is at bottom. In between is the list of apps, contacts and websites that appear after you draw a letter on the screen, using your finger...

Have on my Droid Razr Maxx HD for about 3 hours. Seems very cool, but runs a little slow. Not sure if it's because it's beta or hardware limitations on my phone.

I just installed it as the guide says. I'm guessing it's not working for those who used Towelroot, I used a very diff root method and it seems it doesn't affect it. :)

Thanks to Tspez_GP for his assistance. I found another way to make this work. Install Rootcloak from the Xposed Modules in the Xposed Framework and add "com.nokia,z" to the first option in the app "Add/remove apps". i had to uninstall z launcher, then reinstall it and then add it to the list of apps in Rootcloak to work for me.

this is the path Nokia decided to go, to become a software company, at least for the time being, I wouldn't be surprised if someday this luncher would become a Nokia Apps suit, which would contain all the services Nokia provides, with this luncher. in addition to that, Nokia is heavily involved with the graphine research, which is a future technology, so building mobile phones is out of its scope, especially that now Chinese phone makers started selling high end specs in a relativly cheap price...I would say Nokia is a visionary company, they would be thinking ten years ahead...my 2 cents
