Nokia should develop this in otehr countries? Well thanks DoD to spending the technology has been passed to the civilian world. Funny how people do not see that defense spending provided some of what we treasure today.

This explains it. I was surprised to find how much maps.nokia.com was capable of. Its atleast as capable of maps.google.com .

Driven by a real person.

That would be an interesting job, to say the least. "Follow this route today. See you in the evening"

I disagree completely. I had nokia maps and they were a disaster. I will never buy another nokia product as result of it. I wrote to them and told them they didn't have the correct street name on my street and others (in South Africa). Over the course of 2 years they did sweet jack. Google maps has yet to be wrong and will always be better, not even because of developers but because the community empowers it. Sorry nokia, it sucks unless you actually start listening to people. Build a bridge.

actually here in Lebanon, Nokia Maps are much better than Google's, Nokia gives every street with its correct name, while Google maps, some streets (the ones they draw) intersects with buildings, and some doesn't even exists, and some are streets with dead-ends (which is not true), so Nokia does have the best Maps.
