Nokia batteries found to grow in size
We've heard nightmare stories before where cell phone batteries were known to explode and possibly start a fire. It's also true that over time batteries can grow in size due to constant use and charging. But Nokia has identified in rare cases that their BP-6M batteries can swell up tremendously over time to the point where the phone case cannot close. Specific instances have been recognized with the batteries found in the Nokia N73
, N77, and N93
. There are other products that also use the BP-6M battery which Nokia states should be replaced at a certified service center. If you own one of the devices described by Nokia, make sure to get in touch with them for a possible battery replacement.
