Nokia acquires Intellisync

Nokia and Intellisync announced that they have signed an agreement for Nokia to purchase Intellisync. Intellisync provides wireless email, synchronization and device management software to a wide variety of mobile platforms. The new acquisition together with the recently launched NokiaBusinessCenter (a software solution enabling push email and other collaborative business applications) will enable the manufacturer  to offer its customers the ability to connect practically any device to any data source, application, or network. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2006.
