Nokia Lumia 525 already priced near $100 in China, cheaper than the Nokia Lumia 520

0. phoneArena posted on 29 Dec 2013, 21:34

The entry-level Nokia Lumia 520 has been replaced in certain markets by the new Nokia Lumia 525. The difference? The latter model has 1GB of RAM, twice the 512MB of the stuff inside the Lumia 520. With over 30% of the Windows Phone models in use either a Nokia Lumia 520 or its T-Mobile branded Nokia Lumia 521, it is expected that the Lumia 525 will also start picking up market share...

WP rocks even with low end hardware. No wonder cheap Lumias sell so well.

"I guess nobody learns from AMD. You can't beat Intel at it's own game. You have to concentrate on your competitor's weaknesses.

When WP launched in 2010, dual core Android phones were just around the corner and were creating lots of hype. Android and iOS had the lion share of the high end market. But they absolutely sucked at low and mid range devices. At the high end, people want the best hardware and lot of apps. At the low and mid end, reasonable compromises are easily accepted. But iOS didn't have a mid end device while Android phones made too much compromises in this range. Microsoft could have grown at an extremely fast pace, had it concentrated on these markets since it's easier to win people over. By 2013, their market share would have grown considerably and it would have given them a solid foundation to target the high end and have an easier time at succeeding.

But they choose otherwise. And they are still far behind Android and iOS."

And best thing is that it's not that much worse than other Lumias. I've tried Galaxy Fame , Trend or something like that. It's not good even compared to S3 Mini. I've tried both 1020 and 520, and 520 is worse (of course), but it's still good phone and enjoyable to use. Great job Nokia.

"For those interested in the 1320 phablet, keep in mind that it is far from offering the high-end specs seen with the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet."

Lumia 1320 costs less than half of Lumia 1520. It may not have the cutting edge specs but its still a great phablet.

Display is fantastic and has SD 400 processor with Adreno 305, 1GB RAM which is plenty for WP to run smooth and run all apps/games.

Some bloggers who had hands on with 1320 said who need 1080p display when you have gorgeous display like this?

The only reason why I bought Nexus 5 is because I couldn't wait any longer for Lumia 1320. Beside, it'll never be officially provided in the states
It's too late :'(.
