Nokia Drive+ now available for ALL Windows Phone 8 users
Now this is a treat, Microsoft and Nokia have opened up the beta of Nokia Drive+ to all Windows Phone 8 users. The outstanding turn-by-turn navigation application is free and available now in the Windows Phone Store.

The app has been in beta for some time while Nokia polishes things up, despite that, it is one of the best turn-by-turn navigation applications available, on any platform. Nokia Drive+ has been part of the “Nokia Experience,” exclusive to the Finnish manufacturer’s hardware.

Nokia has quietly been making huge inroads since its acquisition of NAVTEQ and this is one of the first widespread fruits of that labor.  It was known for some time that Nokia would be providing "mapping abilities" to all Windows Phone 8 handsets as part of the technology sharing agreement between Nokia and Microsoft, but it was not immediately known how that would be implemented.

The application is now available for users in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. It boasts all the expected features you would want in a high-end GPS app, plus the ability to download maps for offline use. This is a great development for all Windows Phone 8 users.  For those of us that have used it, we can say that the rest of the Windows Phone user base is in for a great experience.  You can download Nokia Drive+ here.
