Nokia 9 PureView is getting a “day one” update in the U.S.
Nokia 9 PureView is clearly one of the cheapest flagships announced in the first half of the year, and definitely the cheapest that will be available for purchase in the United States. Although HMD Global announced a retail price of $700, the smartphone is now available for pre-order at various retailers for as low as $550.

While you can pre-order the Nokia 9 PureView in the U.S. right now, the phone hasn't yet hit the shelves. However, we do know that the flagship will arrive in the States on March 11, so you still have time to benefit from those major discounts offered by various retailers across the country.

And to make things even more appealing, HMD Global announced earlier today that the Nokia 9 PureView is getting a small but important update before it even reaches stores. If you buy the phone, you'll want to check for a new update when you receive it next week.

The update weighs in at about 300MB and brings the March security patch, as well as stability and performance improvements, which includes some camera enhancements too. As some of you probably know by now, the Nokia 9 PureView comes with a five-camera setup on the back, so any improvement should greatly increase picture quality.

The information has been confirmed by HMD Global's Chief Product Officer, but some users who got the phone earlier have already tweeted details about the update.
