Nokia 8 Pro with Snapdragon 845 and a penta-lens camera might be in the works
A "pro" version of the Nokia 8 is reportedly in the works, powered by the speedy Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and sporting five cameras at the rear. Yes, five.

According to NokiaPowerUser, HMD Global, the parent company behind the rekindled use of the beloved Nokia brand, could be preparing a more advanced version of its current flagship and we might theoretically see this one at MWC 2018 though the device is allegedly prepped for an August-September release. As a reminder, Nokia will attend the important trade show in Barcelona, Spain, and will host a keynote event on February 25.

The most intriguing feature of the phone as per the rumors will be its five Zeiss cameras at the back. As we mentioned in our original piece when we first heard about the five-camera phone, this device could feature a rotating element with housing all 5 lenses and LED flashes at the rear, which would probably have varying focal lengths and apertures to make up for tons of specific shooting situations. This opens the possibility for lossless zoom with a longer lens, superb low-light performance with a wider one, and so on.

Overall, it's something intriguing and never before seen on a smartphone.

Other probable specs for the phone are a 18:9 display and double-glass design, but nothing will probably be able to top that penta-lens camera.

As we said, Nokia has a slew of rumored devices in the making so there's no way of knowing is this Nokia 8 Pro is real or not, but if the company really wants to continue its upward momentum, the time is nigh for it to truly innovate. The penta-lens Nokia 8 Pro could just be that.
