HMD Global today expanded its portfolio of Nokia Android smartphones with three new models – the Nokia5.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 2.1. Continuing the tradition of HMD’s previous efforts in the Android world, the new phones offer a pure, up-to-date Android experience with Android One and Android Go, and at an affordable price!

Nokia 5.1

The Nokia 5.1 carries the biggest punch of the trio. It comes with a trendy, 5.5-inch, 18:9 full HD display that’s coated with Gorilla Glass to protect it from scratches, and an oleophobic layer on top of that to fend off fingerprints. Inside, there’s a 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio P18 octa-core processor, paired with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM, depending on the version you choose. HMD says this setup is capable of delivering 40% better performance than the previous generation, so Nokia 5 users looking for an upgrade that doesn’t break the bank will appreciate the boost in performance.

The Nokia 5.1 comes in versions with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via the MicroSD card slot that takes cards of up to 128GB in capacity. At the heart of the phone, there’s 2990 mAh battery, though there’s no word on battery life yet.

Around its sleek back, the Nokia 5.1 features a single, 16MP camera with phase detection auto-focus and a dual-tone LED flash. Up front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera for those trendy bothies that the brand is so keen on.

The new Nokia 5.1 will come in three colors: Copper, Tempered Blue and Black (the latter of which will be available a few weeks after launch); two storage/RAM options: 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB, and will be available starting July 2018 at a global average retail price of €189 ($218).

Nokia 3.1

Nokia 3 has been the most successful model in the Android line-up of Nokia smartphones. Building on top of that foundation comes the new Nokia 3.1. HMD says the phone was designed with single-hand use in mind, and is the company’s most affordable smartphone with an 18:9 screen. It’s a 5.2-inch HD+ display protected by Gorilla glass with an oleophobic coating on top, to keep those pesky fingerprints away.
