Under the terms of its deal with Microsoft, Nokia cannot offer a new smartphone until the fourth quarter of 2016. But a benchmark test was already conducted on a Nokia smartphone running Android 5.0. Under the hood is a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT-6582 CPU...

MediaTek tho? The SoC plays a part in battery life, multi tasking, etc. Hope they are any good.

Android One is powered by MTK6582. I got Cherry Mobile One and it can last a day. Dual SIMS open, frequent 3G use, some time passing games like CSR and Spiderman Unlimited. Knowing these specs run fluidly on 5.1 Lollipop, I can squeeze a nifty 6-7hrs of battery life. Yes MTK is good, kinda underrated but safe to say Qualcomm and Exynos can do better.

Can a no-name Chinese company name their own company as Nokia? I think not.

No, but they can license the name from nokia to use on their phones... Nokia licenced the name to Foxconn for the Nokia N1 http://www.techtimes.com/articles/20513/20141118/nokia-consumer-push-n1-gets-receptive-response.htm

That's an eternity. With those specs at that time it'll do horrible. The IPhone, nexus, and note all come out in the fall. Damn Nokia.

"Any specs that show up now on a benchmark test will probably not be on the final version of the phone", well yeah.

Not interested, I was a long time Android user, and it was a very good experience. But after trying WP, I feel it serves my needs betters. Good luck Nokia in competing in a cheap Chinese devices saturated market, especially that although cheaply priced, but high in quality made (oneplus one, xiaomi, Oppo, and many more).

Same here, this year I wanted to switch to android from WP, but after playing with couple of android phones I just understood how lame android feels after WP.

Great, I wish more people were more open minded, and just give WP a try. I'm not hating on Android, I think it is a great OS, and so is WP (no place for ios on my list)

as I said in this post... When nokia android's device outsold the Microsoft WP's device... the discussion will be RED HOT. At that time, I hope you were open minded
