New rumors about the HTC M7 design and Sense 5.0's "simple and clean" UI

0. phoneArena posted on 04 Jan 2013, 16:15

"Simple and clean" aren't exactly words that anyone would have used to describe HTC's Sense UI a couple years ago, but HTC has been working to make it cleaner over the years, and apparently that push is continuing with Sense 5.0. New rumors say that a big push with Sense 5.0 is to make the UI more "simple and clean", and we've also got word about the design of the M7 hardware as well...

That would be a good start, but sadly I don't think two carriers is enough. They need Verizon,at&t, sprint, tmobile and offerings to customers on metropcs and cricket etc. But this is just my opinion

No, it can't be Verizon and Sprint, it has to be a combination of GSM and CDMA carriers. Verizon is good and all, but let's not forget the biggest carrier is AT&T which is GSM. If the phone could work on AT&T then it'll work on T-Mobile. Going GSM is where the money is, if they go with just Verizon, then the phone will be just stuck on Verizon. Release on both AT&T and Verizon will be more beneficial than Sprint and Verizon. Ultimately, their eyes should be set on releasing on all carriers.

Sense is probably my favourite overlay, been using it since the Touch Pro. But it is too memory hungry. It needs more optimisation as it becomes sluggish over time and other people who have the Sensation/XE have the same problem.

So a lighter Sense is more than welcome even though HTC are delaying with any future updates...

I'm not buying any HTC phones if they give their phones GOOD or decent battery life. I have my eyes set on the XPERIA Z

Me to but, it's hard to shake a bad reputation. Sense 4+ is wonderful but, people still aren't all the way convinced.

Gotta be careful. There's a thin line between simple and boring.

iOS is a perfect example of that.

Capacitive button for me is better than on screen button for thevreason that soft buttons occupies space in the screen..i really want it to be full screen all the time..as long as the capacitive doesn't wear off that easily..

well htc ... ur sense interface is the best yet. and hey hey guys interface should not be very simple rather cause think deeply, it willl literally make the phone boring to use. take example of APPLE UI. its so simple that it has only icons on the screen as applications and u cant go much into it . eventually u get BORED OF IT. not much customization in apple ui as well. where as sense is far more better. but where htc have to work out is MARKETING PLANS, BETTER CAMERS AND BETTER MUSIC. believe me no phone is gna beat em up if they improve only such a few things. htc makes best handsets and optimum quality. i have used gs3 ans apple iphone4s and HTC ONE X. but to b true htc just ROCK. IT BEATS EM ALL. looks the best among all with ultimate screen. m not a fanboy, but all this is a user review , cause i ve been using these handsets daily. sold my apple though. lol. but nyways A VERY GOOD LUCK TO HTC. UR THE BEST.
