New Samsung Galaxy S9 renders show the phone from all angles, no dual camera in sight

All the current rumors about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S9are pointing out the fact that the smartphone will be an incremental upgrade overthis year's Galaxy S8, with little differences when it comes to design. Today, newlyleaked Galaxy S9 renders are available, and they're showing us exactly what we'reexpecting to see.

These new Samsung Galaxy S9 renders are based on factory CADimages (allegedly coming from Samsung itself), and have been made public by 91mobilesand @OnLeaks. It's not the first time when @OnLeaks reveals renders ofunannounced phones, and, until now, he's been extremely reliable. In otherwords, it's very likely that the real Galaxy S9 will looks pretty much like thedevice seen in these renders.

The main design change between the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S8is related to the new phone's fingerprint scanner. While the scanner of the S8sits on the right of the rear camera (with many users finding this annoying),the scanner of the S9 will be positioned below the camera. Enhanced ergonomicsshould ensue.

Reportedly, the Galaxy S9 measures around 147.6 x 68.7 x 8.4mm. This would make it almost as large as the S8 (148.9 x 68.1 x 8.0 mm),though a tad shorter, wider, and thicker. Overall, the S9 should have most ofthe external attributes of the S8, including a dual-curve screen, awater-resistant body, standard 3.5mm headset jack, and a single rear camera. However, we could see a dual rear camera (à la Galaxy Note 8) on the phone'slarger brother, the Galaxy S9+.

Of course, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will benefit from improvedinternals - like Qualcomm's brand new Snapdragon 845 processor, and (possibly)6 GB of RAM. Similar to most of Samsung's flagships phones released until now,the Galaxy S9 is expected to have multiple color variants, from dark to lighternuances.

Samsung may plan to announce the Galaxy S9 and S9+ as soonas next month (at CES 2018, January 9 - 12), although a later announcement is more likely. Could the S9 and S9+ be theperfect phones of next year? We'll just have to wait and see.
