New HTC commercial reminds us that the One M9 comes with free Uh Oh Protection

HTC recently released a new commercial to remind the world that its One M9 flagship smartphone is protected by Uh Oh. This is a 1-year protection plan that allows M9 owners to receive a free replacement device in case their handset is damaged by water, or its screen is cracked.

Even buyers of the HTC One M8 can benefit from the Uh Oh protection plan, if they've purchased the device after March 25. Unfortunately for customers around the world, Uh Oh is available only in the US and Mexico.

HTC's Uh Oh is a unique thing in the smartphone world, and we would definitely not mind seeing similar free protection plans being offered by other companies. However, for now, Uh Oh doesn't seem to be helping HTC - at least not if we look at the company's latest financial results. But that shouldn't stop HTC from advertising it, right?
